^^ At least it seems like CBL understands that they can't just re-lease the boxes to big-box users and call it a day. (All of those boxes are at Crossroads, anyways!) Instead, they understand that the site should shift from all-retail (their core competency) to include residential or office. I still don't personally have much faith that they can pull off something that complex, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

That was just due to Valentine's Day and isn't really representative of the rest of the year.

I think they are just having financial trouble in general, if they're closing other locations.

Their food is actually quite "heavy" as that type of food goes. It isn't that it's not tasty, it's more that most people want food that is either a bit healthier, more locally-sourced, or cheaper. Which is how Brigs stays in business. The prices.

They've definitely struggled as a whole, but have redone their menu a couple of times in recent years and I think it's much improved. It may be too little too late though, as they've been closing locations by the dozens.

Egg and I... further down the street is quite good, and great staff. Yelp reviews are decent, too!
20% off for Veterans. Ask cashier for it!

Same kind of hours as Biscuitville and Briggs.

Further down the road, Golden Corral got too high for lunch while D&S is packed daily!

Golden Corral vacating that location was upsetting. It was my favorite GC location. D&S is bland to me. K&S at Cameron Village is much better overall.

But as others have said Mimi's in general has been struggling.

I thought I saw a report earlier that something was already slated to go in the Mimi's in a few weeks. I'll do some looking.

Found it. A few hours ago, Triangle Food Guy tweeted that it would be this place. http://lamadeleine.com/
