I'm an alumni interviewer for my alma mater, and most of the people I've interviewed previously have been in Durham or Chapel Hill, but I've been assigned several interviewees from Apex and Fuquay this year. I live in South Durham and work in central Durham, so I'm looking for any recommendations of coffee shops or cafes that would be halfway-ish (maybe the Morrisville area?). I'm looking for somewhere that has a good bit of seating, and somewhere not too quiet where having a conversation/interview would be obnoxious, and also not too loud to hear each other.

(For reference, I've used the Starbucks at NC 55 / NC 54 in Durham, and the (now gone) Caribou Coffee on Franklin Street in CH before, and both were good locations).

Thanks!

There are plenty of Starbucks between Durham and Apex. Dunno about Fuquay. I rarely drive out that way.

Thanks! I was worried about picking blind because I know some locations are much smaller than others, but I just realized I can Google Maps and find out which ones are stand-alone locations, which are generally much more spacious. Looks like there's one at High House Road @ NC 55.

That one is a stand alone.

You should take them to Chuck E Cheese and see how they react

That one is not that big inside. It does have outdoor seating if the weather is nice.

There is one in Grace Park in Morrisviile on Davis Drive - not sure I've ever been inside.

West Regional Library (Morrisville) and Eva Perry Regional Library (Apex) both have quiet study rooms, first come first served.

Capital Cabaret? Plenty of seating, not too quiet.

They're about the same size. The one over at Parkside Town Center is a wee bit larger.

Panera at Beaver Creek is pretty big and a decent place for an interview. (I'm a DJ and often meet clients there).
In Fuquay there's a stand alone Starbucks - not too big though. If you were interviewing a Fuquay candidate, you might be better served meeting at the Starbucks in Holly Springs (off the 55 bypass) as it's a stand alone, has a decent amount of tables, it's only about 4.5 miles from Fuquay and much more convenient for you coming from Durham/Chapel Hill as you can take 540 almost the whole way there.

(Just realized that you are looking for halfway places!!! - Keep Panera in mind as an alternate!)
