Maybe... Durham must have gotten another heavier round of snow than Raleigh... the shots of Durham's streets on TV look worse than Raleigh's.
The Durham Freeway is largely a commuter road, it makes sense that'd be a bit worse. It's also further North / chillier ever so slightly so there's that as well.

Makes sense... I guess resources could be better allocated elsewhere. Just thinking about the amount of traffic it gets during the weekday with folks entering Durham during the week and it being a major state highway , I was perplexed by it looking so bad. But your reasoning make sense.
Very icy. I tried to check with a tape measure how much accumulation we got. Seems to be around 2.5 to 3 inches. It's pretty solid so you can't just stick the tape measure in like with just snow. I don't plan to head out at all today.
