Plus there are probably snakes in your backyard now! They're sneaky little critters, but they mostly don't bother people or dogs unless they step on them or stick their noses in their face and ask to be bitten.

If you have, does it work? Worth it or do they just get around it? My female is 12 and has brought me many a gift over the years. I'm sure she wouldn't hesitate to go after a snake and I'm afraid she will get bit. Being on the older side, I would like to try to protect her from that fate. I don't want to hurt the snakes, just don't want them in the yard and have my pups run into them.
Snakes probably wouldn't be able to get over heavy mil plastic pulled around the outside of the fence...4' tall...six inches in the ground. They wouldn't be able to achieve traction for climbing. Probably wouldn't look so great.

Yes indeed. Copperheads love to dine on cicadas. They can climb the highest tree with no limbs for a while

Great....putting this on my "things you can't unsee" list. If I dream about it raining snakes tonight, I know who to blame.

Over the weekend 9 adult Copperheads were killed at my mom's and her next door neighbor's place. Sunnybrook Road should be changed to Copperhead Road.

I lived a little north of that area when I first moved to Raleigh. Saw more copperheads in one summer than the total number of snakes I had seen in 35 years of living in Florida. More than I'd seen in 5 years in Tn. where they were prolific. Still makes my skin crawl.
