Was thinking of this thread trying to think of something to do to get out today for some midday wings at an outdoor place. That, plus one that is still in business, which I guess we have to ask these days.

We like, among other places, the wings at Red, Hot and Blue but they don't have outdoor seating as far as I remember. They are huge there and they cook them well.

We know of a couple of places with mediocre wings but want to maximize this to go for better wings than that.

Am now angling between (from this and other threads here) between the Lynnwood in N Raleigh or Aviator in Fuquay

I think MoJoe’s has excellent wings as does High Park off Whitaker Mill.

hmmm can't think of any outdoor places I've been that also has wings. Glory Days has wings (Apex) and nice outdoor seating (fully covered) but can't vouch for the wings.

If you're going for wings only, Buffalo Wild Wings at Park West has a big patio. I know it's a chain and overall their food is lousy, but their wings are pretty decent.

Both of these places have outdoor seating.

So, though a bit of a drive, Aviator won out as they have some great choices.

The wings were really good, highly recommend it.

Will check the others next time. We really like MoJos but didn't think of them as a wings place so good to know.

As far as the chains go, I prefer Wing Stop to Buffalo Wild Wings. As a matter of fact, I had some earlier today.

Never been to Hooters.

Funny this thread popped back up. Someone on Reddit just asked for some good wing places a couple of days ago.

Blech. Crap service and mediocre food.

'Em Are Wings in Apex (which I will never refer to as "Apex Wings") are bangin. I think there are some picnic tables outside but can't remember. Only ever eaten inside and it has been a while.

It has very recently been recommended to me to check out Heavenly Buffaloes in Durham and The Wooden Nickel in Hillsborough. Have not done so yet but now find myself jonesin for some wings so that might have to happen this week.

yeah I'm not a huge fan of some of the food. Some of it is good. Went there with my sister a couple weeks ago and she described her salad as "awful" LOL. I've never had bad service at Glory Days though - they've always been nice and the manager has always come around to say hi and do a check.

I was going to rx Apex Wings but not sure of the outdoor seating.
