Also wondering if they do shorter leases like less than 12 months.
No clue really, I pass the complex when I take Ebenezer Church Rd to cut through from Glenwood to Duraleigh on Tuesdays. It is one of my favorite areas!!! Really pretty, lots of nice surrounding neighborhoods.

The majority of complexes now use "market data pricing" similar to airline tickets where it basically changes by the day. You can go tour a complex, speak with the property manager/representative, and they will tell you the prices for different units they have on that given day; which are usually only guaranteed for a week before you sign a lease agreement. It's pretty rare to find apt complexes that advertise their rates nowadays. It can be very frustrating if you are searching from out of town (or even if you are local) and trying to get an idea of what areas/apartment complexes match with your budget.

You can usually fill out an inquiry online though and someone will email you with pricing within the next business day.

Thanks for the warning, I didn't realize that was a thing. Although it makes sense, they must be having a field day with all the relocators.

I've had pretty good luck so far going through the list of apartments on that Wake County pet friendly apartment list. I'm only up to the C's and have found 9 possibilities that weren't crummy or overpriced.

Thank you all for the help! We visited Hawthorne first, decent floor plan (had a loft with bed and bath) but it felt a little cramped. Also location wasn't convenient (not a lot within walking distance). Great amenities and Jackie was awesome and super friendly but just could t see myself there. Seasons at Umstead- not as close to park as I thought, generic floor plans so didn't go in (was going to drop by). Camden Lake Pine hit it out of the park. Very well maintained (I was shocked to hear it is over 20 years old). Floor plan may be a. It choppy for some but suits us perfectly. One bedroom is located by front door and across from kitchen and the master is down a hallway and separate. Works for me and my college age son! There's a decent shopping complex within walking distance with a Kroegers, a Jersey Mikes, Chinese food, etc. and a Costco being built down the road. What sold me- beside the floor plan- is the Apex Community Park located a short walk away by a paved trail. It's awesome! Every type of field you can imagine, lots of play room for the dogs. A few minutes away is downtown Apex which is a fantastic small town (much like my old hometown). Huge shout out to Lawrence our Camden agent - not only super helpful but a wealth of information about the area. Apologies for any typos but I'm exhausted - came down yesterday to set up house and have been running nonstop. Will be here part time until April (tying up loose ends at home) or so then leaving NJ and will be here for good. So far has been super smooth sailing!!!
