I read through a closed post about Renaissance Park from 2008-2009 dealing with concerns about investing into a home in a not-so-great area of the city with higher crime. I know RP can be considered a bubble, but there is still crime in the area and there are concerns the area won't change at all in 10-20 years. I'm interested in updated opinions of anyone who lives there, lived there, or seriously considered buying a home there. Thanks in advance.
There shouldn't be concerns the area wont change for 10+ Years. Given the rate of gentrification of much more downtrodden areas, though much closer to the downtown core, the concerns over the newer and better condition homes in RP is much less valid today than before 2012.
Ren Park seems to be selling quite well now. The closeness to downtown Raleigh has made it more desirable.
