Search Craigslist in the services section. I have used that for several projects at my new house and have been very happy with the cost and work I got done. If you call a big company chances are you are paying for their advertising and retail space.

Craigslist is used by a lot of small companies that are fully insured. The people I hired were insured and was verified by me. I also have great homeowners insurance with an umbrella policy just in case If people enjoy paying more that's cool with me. I would rather save some money and get the same exact work done.

Your umbrella policy doesn't cover workers in your home. Do you think insurers are stupid? They don't want to pay for your mistake if you become an employer by hiring an uninsured person.
There were quite a few recommendations on past threads for Jason, so I tried getting in touch and I wasn't convinced he's still in business. Left multiple voice-mails and never heard back, or maybe he just didn't like my voice mails
I had a busy weekend but I did text Jason and he did answer and say "all is well". He said his phone is still 919-637-6800.

Thanks for getting back! Guess it was just me then
