Hi everyone, I posted on here a couple weeks ago and everyone was so helpful that I thought I'd try again. We are relocating back to the Raleigh area after 12 years away. We were intending on a June move but our home sold quick and now we need something mid-April.

I am hoping to rent a townhouse for at least a year. I have looked on all the popular rental sites and have seen several that I like, but am just wondering if there are any neighborhoods or areas that anyone would recommend... I am hoping to stay in the Cary / Apex / Morrisville / Holly Springs vicinity. I would also consider Raleigh or Garner, but have a 6 year old and want to get her into the best school district I can. I am flexible on traditional or multi-track options, just want a good elementary school. Want a townhome specifically so that we can do a maintenance-free life for a while. We do have a dog. 3 BR's and a community pool is a must. Would like to stay under $1600. I would like a "friendly" neighborhood since we are relocating and would like to make some friends. In an ideal world I'd love somewhere with Greenway access or a park nearby. If you have any advice on neighborhoods or property management companies I'd love to hear it! Also any areas to avoid!

Have looked at Jamison Park or West Lake? They have some tow home options.

Husband will be traveling all through NC and SC, and I don't know yet where I will be working, so I would like to just stay as central as possible to keep my options open. I just know I don't want to be anywhere near Capital Blvd, couldn't deal with that traffic. I used to live in Northwest Raleigh and commute to Garner, so I am familiar with the traffic a bit.

Brier Creek is very central, but make sure you're in WAKE County, not Durham for the better school systems (or so I'm told. We have no kids and live in Durham County.)
