On the west coast Ryland is considered lower end and Standard Pacific higher end. I read it in an article about the merger.

Yes, but it is a merger, supposedly. Pulte buying Weiland is clearly an acquisition.

Indian Wells - New Homes in Cary, NC
"Sold" is an interesting term. I would want to see the contracts for the properties.
It isn't actually legal to sell a lot without a recorded plat, and all I see at the Register of Deeds sits is a recombination of the various properties in the assemblage.

And, over the last few months, HH Hunt has quietly picked up quite a bit of property along Wackena Rd.
There are a few key properties left to make the assemblage complete, but I bet HHH is drooling over KHOV's 35 acres.

Maybe my Indian Wells neighbors and I should have held out for more $ when we sold out two years ago. 20/20 hindsight is great.

You likely got a fair price.

The only way to make more would've been to get more neighbors to band together and sell.

The surely have property backing to the KHov property.

However, the land has not "closed." The individual owners of each piece still hold title according to the Wake County on-line real estate database.

Do you know, or care to speculate, what will become of Oak Pointe?

Preston Retreat?

Saw workers planting some evergreen buffers on the curbside moat along Davis drive sidewalk, today!

Walked through the development a couple days ago (wearing the earbuds) and the traffic noise was way up there!

Yeah... it'll be less noisy once it's full of houses, but it's hardly gonna be quiet. Especially over in front of Davis Drive.

I'm curious about those buffers because the rear "water feature" seems to have a brick wall built to contain it, but the front one is all hanging out there. Were the trees largish? Might drop by there when we head over to ParkWest in a few.
