We are considering purchasing a home in Harrington Grove and was wondering how difficult/challenging it is to obtain "permission" from the HOA for putting up a shed or adding a structural play area in your back yard? I know there are size restrictions, but was more concerned with whether or not people have had their requests turned down.

This will be the first time we would be in a neighborhood governed by an HOA, so we are not at all familiar with how they work.

Read the covenants VERY closely, and if you're not certain, ask a lawyer!

Call the property management company. I have always done that when considering a home purchase. It's helpful and can be extremely enlightening.
