We currently live in NoVA, but considering a move to the RTP area over the summer, due to a job offer there. We have kids in the elementary/middle school age group, so schools and other after-school activities play a big part in our lives. Also, being Asian, diversity is a consideration. We are seriously considering this move due to the good job offer, and potentially lower cost of living. However, we don't want to compromise on these other factors - schools, activities and diversity, that NoVA is excellent for. Anyone here that could give us some perspective on this? Any NoVA transplants that can offer advice and what they like and don't like in the RTP area?
Also, we have heard that Chapel Hill schools are good, and would consider buying in that area. Any areas to avoid, or are all the schools in Chapel Hill equally good?
