I just went over to HGTV.com and entered to win; I've never played before, but thought what the heck! If you win the home, you also win a new Mercedes Benz and $100K cash. If you want to pass on the home, you can take $750K in cash plus the car.

I got a bit dizzy reading through all the rules and small print. I think part of the deal is you must reside in the home as your primary residence for one year. I THINK. It's really pretty inside, although I would make a few changes. I saw wallpaper and tiles I didn't particularly care for. Anyway...

The address is 7421 Haywood Oaks Dr. Raleigh, NC. 27613, which seems to be over off Glenwood Dr. near Glenwood Station from what I could tell from a map. You can go to their website and take a tour:

Yes, been entering the allowable two entries per day, at HGTV and DIY. I would opt for the Cash and Car though, I love my home and would put the money towards retirement and some projects around my current home. It's nice to dream...Good Luck

I'm totally in it for the cash and the Benz.

House is too small.

It's kinda cute, but not exactly my style, either.

I am not sure I'd want skylights in the middle of a master bedroom.

I've entered a few times. Nice house, though scratching my head over the supposed approximate value of the house itself.

Would take payout instead as well!

Wow, aside from decent curb appeal, that home is a disaster...awful design choices, terrible layout, etc.

Last year's house in Austin had 40 million entries, so enter early and often!

Nice house but I'd take the payout.

Really? You thought it was small?? Maybe cuz I'm single with a 1 bedroom apartment at the moment, it seems spacious to me. lol.

Yeah, would TOTALLY take the payout! although I'm wondering how much I'd be left with after they tax $750K?? I might sell that $52,000 Benz too, and get something cheaper......or not.

Not exactly sure but I'd imagine 30-40% would go to taxes......you could also keep the house for a few years before selling it.

I don't ever want a $750,000 house in Raleigh - I enjoy a pretty simple and modest lifestyle so the cash payout would be enough to keep me happy (and would help fund my retirement account pretty nicely haha)
