Electricity cost here is mainly a question of where you choose to set your thermostat in the summer (and, if your house has no natural gas, where you set your thermostat in winter). Price of residential electricity in the Triangle is roughly 11 cents per kilowatt-hour. I have a 3/2 house. My bill peaks at $175-200/month in summer, goes to $250-300/month in winter when it's cold, and stays about $75-100 in spring and fall. My subdivision has no natural gas, alas.
My water/sewer combo (Raleigh city) is $50-75/month. Lots of variability in water and sewer numbers depending on locale -- the city or town provider, a private provider, well & septic, etc.
Electricity average is 90/month with the summer months the highest, Gas average is 72/month with the winter months the highest, Water/Sewer/Garbage average is 80/month.
For our 1400sq.ft house, electric has never exceeded $150/month (I've had it as low as $15 during those times when the HVAC wasn't in use) and Water/Sewer is $44.
