We have found desirable homes in North Raleigh (Bedford @ Falls River), South/Southeast Raleigh (near Enloe High School), and Henderson, NC. Can anyone give me the rundown on these three areas? Thanks!

Go for Bedford @ Falls River.
Lovely community.

But, how does Henderson even fit in with the other two?

I will say you did take that last thread to heart and expanded your search radius, lol. Wow those are really spaced out locations. So, gold star from me to you there.

I have mostly just read the forums, but just made an account because I can help with this. I basically know everywhere in the Triangle like the back of my hand.

North Raleigh - upscale, best for families, no crime, and it's my favorite area in the Triangle (even without being biased, I still think it's the best). Bedford is an amazing community (I live here!).

South/Southeast Raleigh - look on forums and talk to residents, and you will hear the bad rap about South Raleigh. Many people deny South Raleigh's issues, and I question why because it's a very troubled area. It has the highest crime rate in Wake County, the detention centers are located there, and there is a gang issue. I drive through SE Raleigh on my commute to work, and lived there at one point (off Sunnybrook). There are a lot of delinquents walking around, and people have been shot in broad daylight. Burglaries are also a major issue. I left SE Raleigh for North Raleigh after having a bullet through the wall.

Henderson - highest teen pregnancy rate in NC, highest poverty rate in NC, highest crime rate in NC (burglaries, theft, people being shot in broad daylight, gangs, etc), worst schools, filthiest town in NC (that I've driven through), drugs galore, rundown and abandoned, far out from everything, nothing to do, miniscule police presence, etc. You get the point. Henderson = worst town in North Carolina, period.

I'd go with Bedford (and I've lived here for three years now, and can tell you all about it). SE Raleigh is very crime-ridden and troubled, and Henderson.....let's not even go there.

Hope this helped.

Pierre is correct. I understand that you will get more for your money in Henderson, so what matters?

Personally, I think you just like to call people trolls. I am not a troll.
