Just found this project on Cary's development site. Haven't been able to dig up the brands involved, but it's a proposed phased complex of three hotels totaling ~350 rooms just south of the Arboretum at Weston/Harrison.
It doesn't look like there's a restaurant as part of the project, or at least nothing is mentioned about that as an ancillary need in their request to have lower than the required number of parking spaces.
The developer is typically involved with Fairfield/Hampton/Holiday type hotels.
Interesting that when they started out to build the Umstead, Ann Goodnight was going to build it where the apartments are now.
Obviously hitting a different target here. I'm guessing MetLife has some room nights being generated, but I wouldn't think they would have that much alone.
I doubt they would do any retail or restaurants there given its a 2 minute walk to the existing center.
