My husband and I will be moving to the area in the next three months, and as baby boomers not wanting to own a home in the long run, what options might be available for us? TIA!

Well, if you don't want to own a home, isn't your only option to rent?

You could live on the street.

What does that have to do with the Triangle, which she says she is moving to in a few months?

Both are possible in the triangle area, using state residency / domicile I believe.

a boat in the triangle? ok.
Yes - perhaps via one of the houseboats on Jordan lake, slipped at Crossroads Marina.

No, this is likely not the best area for RV / boat / micro house living, but it's possible, isn't it?

Would you be willing to own a condominium and pay for someone else to do maintenance? If downtown living appeal to you, you could look at high-rises in Durham or Raleigh. There are also numerous suburban condos.

Please excuse the original post. A young family member posted it while I had stepped away from my PC. My husband and I are indeed moving to the Triangle. He's a native son, but has not been back since the age of 10. We're looking into renting and have narrowed down a few options, thanks to a relative. I apologize for any confusion. Not trying to make waves here. Whew!
