It is not all that good for out of state candidates, I have spoken to five recruiters and applied to about 15 companies directly, response has not been good. Actually two of the recruiters I called did not even return my calls. None of the companies have responded so far. It is about 1 1/2 months since I started my search. So, it is not an easy task to find an exec level accounting job for an out of state candidate (atleast in my opinion and from my experience).
But, things may change once I move to NC during May / June 08. I am a CPA with over 10 years of experience trying to find manager / controller type of jobs.
