Never did, but remember people talking about Barbee's. Years ago we drove to Smithfield to eat at Holt's Lake. The fried seafood used to be really good. We never ate there after the fire.

Has anyone tried the Oak City Fish & Chips food truck? I see it all the time but have never heard anyone mention it.

Not local but last night we went to one of our favorites...Big Daddy's in Kure Beach. It was awful! It was obviously not owned and operated by the folks who did for many years. We left disappointed and hungry.

I used to eat at this seafood place in Wake Forest. It was off Capital Blvd (you could see it from the road), before you got into the main part of Wake Forest. Is that place still there?

I love Shuckin' Shack for raw or steamed stuff, but their fried food and sandwiches are not that great.
