I'm in Cary, the joint I've been hitting up is skippers in Apex, which is pretty good but sometimes I can't get there before 8 to 8:30 which is when they close. Shuckin Shack is okay, but they sort of **** me off with their portions. If I pay 12 dollars for a shrimp platter I should have more than 10 pieces of shrimp. I haven't really hit up Full moon like that but I guess I can try them out and see if they have larger portions than Shuckin Shack. I also haven't really hit up the sea depot in chatham square in Cary(so if you want to chime in on it, go ahead and let me know whether or not I've been sleeping on the wrong place.
Do you guys have suggestions??? I like to hear them. It doesn't matter where in the triangle, I just need a place to get my fish fry fix.

No Pun intended but there's a boatload of seafood places in the Triangle. I don't really have a dog in this fight, though because I don't eat seafood but you have:
Mayflower (which I believe has a few locations)
Saltbox Seafood Joint
Capital Seafood Market
Blue Stingray
R&B Seafood Box
JJ Fish and Chicken, GG Fish and Chicken, Pan Pan, and Shrimp Boats also count, but they also double as 'Soul Food/Southern Cooking' restaurants.
For the fast food version, you have at least two Captain D's restaurants laying around.
A few years ago, Durham used to have a few more, but one (Leo's) got demolished, and the other (Select Seafood) closed.
There are other places out there like 'Blu and Bennett Pointe Grill, but those aren't the type of Seafood restaurants you're seeking.
Also, it's not a restaurant but keep an eye out for when some of the local churches do their Fish fries, or when there's someone on the side of the road selling Fish plates. It won't have the selection of a Seafood restaurant, but you'll probably enjoy it nonetheless.

I second Saltbox Seafood Joint in Durham. We also have Saltwater Seafood & Fry Shack in Raleigh though that's more out of convenience for me - it's good but not as great as Skippers or Saltbox (at least in my opinion)

This might not be quite what you're looking for but I have it on good authority that there will be a British-style fish and chip restaurant opening in Cary next year.

Try Jacks Seafood (and soulfood) in DT Raleigh, I think it's on New Bern.
Also, if you're ever down in Sanford, there's a place. I can't recall the name of it, but it's on Horner Blvd right next to the Adult Book Store. It's been five years since I've been there, but at the time it was run by an Asian Family, and all orders were breaded to order, and it was good.
I think it is/was called "Snappy Seafood".
Not to be a smart-ass, but I'll also add that Yelp is your friend. Don't just look at average rating, but also read some reviews to get a "flavor" of what's going on...

Anet's Katch in Knightdale is my go-to place on that side of town.

Best bang for your buck from a quality standpoint in my opinion is Fitzgeralds. There are used to be two locations; one in Wake Forest and one in SE Raleigh but I'm not sure if the WF location is still open.

The Fitzgerald's in Rolesville just closed.
Of course there is the place at the Farmer's Market, that place is always busy!
