What are the best locations that you can get to with a direct flight from RDU. I am thinking of places like Cancun or Las Vegas.

Default I am really sorry, but I must cheat...

and tell you about Montreal. It is not a direct flight, but an easy one with connections through several cities. In July and August I get to thinking about cool (literally and figuratively) places to visit. Montreal, Seattle and SF top my list, but Montral has a truly amazing number of things to do and see and it can be done economically compared to most vacation spots. Family with kids? You can keep them entertained, believe me. July is my favorite, with the Francofollies (free street music that is awesome) and the International Fireworks Festival (you can see the fireworks free, too) heading the list. These folks have several festivals going at once all summer. The food and coffee are awesome. The architecture and history, I could tell you much more, but it would take quite a while. Maybe they will have direct flights if enough people discover it.
