I need very specific directions to the rope swing at falls lake. We tried getting directions there though Siri, but no directions came up. We went to the Facebook page and tried getting directions through there. All the navigator told us to do was "park our car near New Light Road". We drove around, and no trail or place to park was in sight. Can someone give me directions from, say Wakefield Middle to the rope swing? Thanks!

Do you have confirmation that it is currently up? I heard a few years ago the guy that always did it came to an agreement with authorities to have it be kept up, but it was always hit or miss for me when I went on non-peak weekends.

There are several rope swings on Falls Lake. At least two of them I'd consider highly dangerous because the landing zone is in shallow water. But I've seen them from my boat, and can't be of much use with directions. A few look to be in various states of disrepair.

Kids swing off the Neuse River greenway trail into the Neuse River too...but it's dangerous and you'd be an idiot to use that one. If you still want it it's on the stretch between Falls of Neuse and Capital.

If you go on Youtube, you will see various videos of the same one. That's the one were looking for. Sometime marked it on Google Maps, but there is nowhere to park the car or tell how to get to it.

I watched a few of those videos. The "Falls Reservoir" videos are not Falls Lake, different body of water.

There's one swing on Upper Barton. You can hike to it from Six Forks Rd, but it's a long hike. There's one accessible from Raven Ridge Rd but I'm not sure where you'd have to hike in from. A few others, I'm not sure their relation to roads. One is north of 98, near the campground near Stony Hill.

By boat which obviously you do not have which means you need this one instead.
