I've applied and am in love with a rental in South Garner (although technically the address says it's still Raleigh, but it seems to be in between South Garner and Fuquay Varina, right off the 42) and am trying to find out more information about the area... and coming up empty.

Anyone here who lives in that area or knows anything about it? Any sort of info is welcome really...

Depending on how far or east or west you are along hwy 42, the area is generally a mix of fairly rural neighborhood developments and farmland. Further East along 42 towards the 40/42 interchange there is more development that goes hand in hand with the shopping center development there. Further west towards Fuquay, what I would call rural suburban. No shopping but plenty of neighborhoods and some farmland.

What else do you want to know?

Traffic can be tough on I40 during rush hour. Good real estate costs out there with all the amenities of Raleigh on the weekends. Can be in Raleigh in 15 minutes.
