Thought this was interesting. Construction isn't supposed to begin until at least 2024, but the DOT is planning to convert part of US 70 from T.W. Alexander to the future East End Connector into a limited-access highway. Should help traffic but it will limit access to local businesses. I'd rather just see them widen the Durham Freeway and call it a day.

How would widening the Durham Freeway help ease traffic on Glenwood? The amount of residential development underway right now off of Glenwood in Durham is considerable, traffic is about to get a whole lot worse in that area.

And yes, I know there is another thread on this very topic.
