Hi,

I am planing to move to NC and I have the following neighborhoods on my list:
- Neighborhood of 3301 Mount Pisgah Way, Cary
- Preston in Cary
- Bier Creek in Raleigh
- Salem Village in Apex

Does anyone know these neighborhoods and can share some insight?

I would like to ask for you opinion especially about the Salem Village. Because a new construction home is available right now.

Thank you,

Brier Creek and Preston are both large areas, not specific neighborhoods.

I think a lot will depend on where you'll be working.

Green Level Crossing/3301 Mt Pisgah .... are you searching on Zillow? That listing expired more than a week ago, and it's about to be rented out.

Assuming you have friends in the area, get a recommendation for a Realtor from them. If no friends here, ask within the company you're working for.

use the search feature at the top for the neighborhoods; they've all been discussed several times and you can see a wide variety of responses over a period of time. I would not pay nor recommend paying over $500K for any house built by a large-scale tract builder (Salem Village/CalAtlantic falls in this)

I don't get why in one thread you are asking for comparisons on Raleigh vs Atlanta to decide between two different metro areas in two different states....and now you're asking about specific subdivisions and streets where you've found houses in. You also say here that you will be keeping your job and working remotely....but created another thread asking about "SAP jobs" in the area....

The things you are asking about are (literally) all over the map. Take a deep breath, focus, choose a state and city....and then your neighborhood search will be much easier and folks here can give you more helpful and pertinent insight!

@TarHeelNick

I am not decided between Atlanta and Raleigh/Cary because job is a major factor. Today, I have a job and can work remotely in either cities. But I am not sure whether I would be able to find a new job in Raleigh/Cary if needed in the future. It seems Atlanta offers more jobs for my profession.

At the same time I need to evaluate neighborhood to neighborhood. For Atlanta I have a few neighborhoods in East Cobb and Peachtree City on my list. For Raleigh/Cary area I have Preston and Salem Village and a few others.

Now, I am trying to compare my options based on the information on the internet and based on the insights from actual people.

I hope it makes sense now.

Thank you.
I know that the house at Green Level Crossing was rented for 3 years. I like the neighborhood and am watching for new listings.
