Usually get mine at Wal-Mart but wonder if there are better places. Have never bought at the dollar type stores and wonder if the quality is OK. Have some over-sized items this year and will need quite a lot.

Container Store. It ain't cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but it's the prettiest, and they have it grouped into "themes" so you can get a few different papers that are all coordinated. It makes for a nice look if you're giving multiple gifts to someone.

I find Tuesday Morning to have nice quality gift wrap at reasonable prices.

One trick I use for oversized items is to wrap with paper tablecloths from the party supply store. Quite easy to work with and much less expensive than gift wrap.

Costco had oversized rolls, which is nice for really big presents. It's also great quality and very thick. Both their normal wrapping paper has patterns on both sides and I believe the Christmas paper does too. I bought a giant roll of wrapping paper and it'll probably last me a few years at least.

target, World market usually.
Dollar store paper tends to very thin and tear easily, also not as much on the rolls usually. Tuesday morning does have some nice paper. I wish the schools around here still did wrapping paper fundraisers, that was some of my all time favorite paper!!!

We buy this years paper last year on sale 50%-75% off. Much cheaper that way. Target and Hallmark have good prices after the season.

This is exactly our plan each year, as well.

I like Hallmark the most for quality and I also buy 50% off for the next year. Got burned one year on cheap paper that turned out very thin and hard to work with. Never ahain.
