Went to Wake Forest this week and checked out the area zoning in on 2 subdivisions Crenshaw Hall Plantation and Dansforth. Can anyone give me info on either place? Oh we liked Heritage too but you can get more for your money in the other two. And I think Dansforth was zoned to Knighdale HS which I wasnt to happy about but alot can happen in 8 years when my oldest goes to HS. Any info on the area schools elementary level would be helpful too!!

I used to live in Crenshaw Hall and it's a very nice community. The community was developed by different builders; St Lawrence, Huff and then the more expensive custom homes on the western side which have slightly bigger lots. There's a great pool, park and tennis court. Well run HOA and a very diverse neighborhood. Tons of kids and most of the folks there are very friendly in my experience. I moved because I wanted to build on a more private lot. But if you have young kids, don't mind a smaller lot, and are looking for a location with very quick access to retail (< 5 mins to Target and Home Depot!) then Crenshaw Hall is a great option for you. Sorry I don't have anything on Dansforth. Drove through it a few times and it looks nice.
