Search ebay for - 5' Pre-Lit Slim Vienna Twig Artificial Christmas Tree - Clear Lights - I have this tree and hardly anyone can tell it is artificial. Really pretty decorated and easy to store.

But they don't have a lot of them so don't wait.
It's been >15 years since I had a live tree, but I used to get them at Food Lion for $30 (15-20 years ago). If you got there within a day or two of the delivery, there were plenty of 8-9' Frasier fir trees of high quality.

For those who want something different, try the upside down artifical tree to minimize the amount of floor space the present sprawl takes up.

Got ours at Costco, and what's great about them is you can return it if you don't like it. No questions asked.

The Costco rent a tree program.

Well I don't know about that, but the guy at the Apex Costco made it sound like if my wife didn't like it after I picked it out and brought it home...I could take it back. I just took some shampoo back there w/o a receipt and was able to return it no questions asked. It was Kirkland's brand though.

My guess is they would take it back, no questions asked. I just returned a 5+ year old dining room set back to sams club a month ago and as long as I had the receipt, they would take it. And for the first 2 years I wouldn't even need a receipt because they could look it up in their system. I think the only exception are TVs and electronics, due to abuse of the upgrade tv every two years program some customers exploited.

Just a friendly PSA, Food Lion has some decent >7' trees for $35 again this year (2020). HD didn't even have a tent, not sure about Lowes. But the HD trees were pitiful on Captial Blvd. $40? for a small little nub. The Food Lion tree we got was equivalent to HD's $65 ones.
