Cary Town Center Mall as the new stadium? We haven't had a rumor about its re-use this week, so I'll start one.

Nah, he's already suggested interest in the downtown Raleigh redevelopment plan site.

An MLS team!? That would be so sweet. One of the biggest things I thought I would miss moving to the area.

It will be interesting to see if this becomes another Triangle vs. Charlotte thing, since it looks like Charlotte is also going after an MLS team. I'm not saying both metros couldn't support their own team, but the way MLS has expanded, it looks like if there is an MLS team in North Carolina, only one (the Triangle or Charlotte) will get it. I think the Triangle has a better shot at landing an MLS expansion team over Charlotte, but you never know. Getting a new 20,000 seat stadium funded is going to be key.

I read the Triangle has double the attendance as Charlotte when comparing the two minor league clubs each city has on a forum yesterday for what it's worth. I also didn't realize The Railhawks have beaten LA Galaxy 3 times in a row in the Open Cup, that is pretty impressive.
