Business as usual for me. There was some bad ice crossing into Chatham County on US1 north in Moncure. Also some ice on the ramp from US1 to I40 in Cary but it's very doable. Not bad at all...

Glad I work from home - as is the norm, my neighborhood is covered in about two inches of solid ice that won't really be gone until later in the week (lots of shady spots). People have been going in and out but not too much this morning.
How are people finding the roads to work this morning?
Six Forks to Wake Forest to Capital to downtown wasn't too bad. Six Forks was the worst (really only one lane sort of paved in each direction), followed by about two blocks in front of the state legislature building. Other than that, no real issues. And with one exception, everyone seemed to be taking it slow and driving carefully. I'm going to head home before it gets dark, though.
Went out today in Cary. I think the biggest problem is you can be traveling 45mph on a perfectly clear road, come over a hill that doesn't get sun, and find yourself on 2 inches of ice.
All good if you take it slow, but we all know how that goes with some people.
It's expected to get above freezing around noon tomorrow, right? Then I think it will stay above freezing for the next few days.
