I get that, I do, but I also look around and everything in Raleigh is open today (except public schools, which are a different animal). Kind of feel like there's no reason why daycare employees are different than every other employee in terms of expectation that you'll find a way to get to work this morning. Right. Starbucks can open short-staffed.
The daycare is regulated, and can be penalized or sued for short staffing.
And, they are liability-adverse, dealing with kids, etc.
