I would love any thoughts on Sanderson and/or Enloe High School. Enloe usually ranks higher on EOC/SAT but I think that is mainly because it's a AIG magnet so attracts a good number of really bright, motivated students. I have always heard great things about Sanderson and I think it might be a good fit for my daughter for several reasons.

We have been happy with our magnet experience so far, but are considering going back to base for high school. I would hate to give up our seat at Enloe and of course, my daughter wants to go to Enloe with her friends.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If I were her parent, I'd keep her in Enloe. Let her continue to have peers that will challenge her.

Keep her at Enloe unless there's some compelling reason to move her.

It's a good school and not all the kids at Enloe are obsessed with grades and competition. Plenty of kids into the arts and so forth.

I went there. I enjoyed it.

My daughter is at Enloe and absolutely loves it. What is it about Sanderson that makes you think it would be a good fit for your daughter?

I suppose, if you didn't like her friends, you could send her to Sanderson. Seems pretty mean to do that though.

I have 4 kids that graduated from Sanderson. I've said this before...some of the teachers that taught kid #1 also taught kid #4. It says a lot when teachers stay at the school. However, daughter just graduated from NCSU so I don't know if Sanderson has changed much in the last few years.

In HS, if your kid is in Honors classes, they are with the brightest students.

I went to Enloe before it was the "in" thing to do!!!

Enloe is a terrific school. As previously mentioned, if you daughter is happy, don't pull her from the school to go anywhere else.

My first thought is (as an alumni) Enloe 100% all the way.

However, the only consideration I might throw in is the travel time/bus time. Depending on where you live a drive/bus ride to Enloe could be a bit long and I assume since Sanderson is your base school the trip would be shorter. But, it may not weigh that heavily on you and Enloe is definitely my pick.
