so according to the TBJ, Publix Pointe is going to have a Postal Annex, a nail place, Great Clips, chiropractor, a karate place, and an optometry office. Apparently one restaurant space will be filled by an unknown tenant, and the final occupant is purported to be a real estate office. Also heard something about H&R Block.

Not great!

Publix Pointe is a typical neighborhood retail center. Were you expecting larger stores?

Fair question and one that is highly subjective of course. I'm not sure those places are necessarily bad, they're just places that I wouldn't frequent, other than a hair cut place probably. I would like a nice restaurant/pub and possibly a gas station in that general area.

One thing is for certain, there is a lot more residential and retail coming to west Apex in the near future.

If I remember correctly there was a protest when someone applied to put a micro-brewery or something on that corner because the elementary school there. I wonder if that made the town unwilling to grant a restaurant a liquor license there. I have no evidence for that at all, of course.
