I think the development is called Hadley. There are only about 30 homes on 2 or 3 streets. We just went to a gathering at the home of one of my husband's co-workers. The home was lovely, spacious, and seemed new. I was told the homes are about $100,000 less than comparable homes in Bedford. The neighborhood is at Crisp and Kings Crest. I think there are a couple of homes for sale.

Hadleigh looks like a lovely neighborhood, but I don't think I would call it "affordable". I guess it is all relative, but the two listings I find for Hadleigh are listed for over $400K. That doesn't sound too affordable to me anyway! Maybe they are less expensive than their comparably sized homes in Bedford, but you can find nice single family homes between 2,500 and 3,000 sq/ft for $350-$375K in Bedford. Again, affordability is in the eye of the beholder I guess. It is a nice looking neighborhood. I guess when I saw the title "affordable in 27614" I was expecting something significantly lower than $400K.

Yeah, I looked at Hadley when we were building our home in Bedford. Bedford was cheaper, but we weren't looking at the custom homes or the estate homes.

I'm in the process of making an offer on a home in Hadleigh... perfectly quaint neighborhood, little to no traffic, and easily accessible to every thing in North Raleigh. I think it's a diamond in the rough.

Whoa doesn't sound too affordable to me either. I think I would have to triple my salary to get something like that

Man, when did a $400K gem start qualifying as a "Diamond in the rough"?
Seriously though, good luck with the offer. It looks like a great place.
I'm off to water my money tree .................

Eh. It is indeed relative, affordability. But most people I know wouldn't see anything in that price range as affordable, unfortunately. Association fees, if any, probably push affordability more out to oblivion.
So, NRG, no pix? Nothing in your stockpile?
