Even if I felt that women rights were under attack (which I don't)
I would not have anything to do with that type of a hate filled movement.
Did you listen to any of the hate being spewed at the tea party rallys when Obama was elected? You don't get a pass.
Women are still not being treated equally. That's the reason for the action. The school district closed & the children will not lose out.
I heard that they're going to dust off the ERA. That makes me happy. I suspect that you'll be foaming at the mouth.
I think people want unity and equality for all, but white guys have been running the show in this country since it was founded, so I really don't think y'all need any extra help.
how would you know whether he's a white guy or not? And why would it matter anyway?
Amazing how teachers, who only work part time, need a week day off to protest instead of doing it on a Saturday. This damages their cause.
Serious and professional full time workers would never protest during the week. Amazing.
by the way, lest I by considered unfair - this is patently wrong, and unnecessarily inflammatory.
Chapel Hill/Carrboro is the most tolerant place I have ever lived. Our family is made up of whites, Asians, Hispanics, etc and nobody looks at us twice. But you are right about something. Chapel Hill is pretty intolerant of ignorant imbeciles who are sexist or racist. And that is why many of us live here.
Chapel Hill has been classically tolerant of viewpoints that they agree with.
There is a difference between "I tolerate it when you make a choice for yourself that I would not make for myself" and "I tolerate it when you cause harm to others."
Disliking the current POTUS isn't a "hate-filled movement."
It's a "I have some sense in my head" movement.
So, some folks have more colorful language than others.
But, when you see millions of people AROUND THE WORLD marching because they think the President is unfit for office?
Might want to pay attention.
Those who marched here were from a variety of walks of life and a variety of ages. Some of them no doubt thought the swearing was unnecessary, but that doesn't mean the cause isn't just.
The Anti-Trump movements have been extremely "hate-filled"
Might want to pay attention.
Apparently enough think Trump is fit because he was elected , so the losers
need to respect that they can't win every election. Nominate a better candidate
next time.

I'd love some insight on the point you're trying to make.
In the meantime, I'll rest on the "other side" calling their opponents "ignorant imbeciles" and "Sexist or racist"....merely for failing to agree with their position.
