All LaQuinta's and Red Roofs are 100% dog friendly with no additional charges.
We've stayed at the LQ near the airport and found it comfortable, convenient and clean. Frankly, I don't think you could go wrong with any of the area LQ's.
We stayed at the Red Roof in DT Raleigh a couple years ago during a snow storm when we lost power. They were kind enough to take us with our THREE dogs and we were grateful!
Thanks all appreciated! My mom likes the Residence Inn...she has a time share with Marriott and wants to see if she can get a deal or something, but if not La Quinta looks great too!

Can't wait to visit!!
Note that Residence Inn typically charge a non refundable fee of $100 per pet per stay. (Aka pet ripoff fee.)
The LaQuinta near Crabtree is where my husband and I stay when we come back to Raleigh. It's not in the finest area as there has been a bit of crime in the area, but I still feel safe staying there. It's clean and well maintained and very reasonably priced. It's also extremely convenient to most areas. There is a Residence Inn right next door.
