I have a bunch of dead batteries (AA, D, C sized, not car batteries) and a couple of compact fluorescent light bulbs I need to dispose of. Not sure where to drop them off in the Durham/Chapel Hill area.

In the past, I've dropped the batteries off at the Eubanks Road facility, but it's under renovation and the new location around the corner says it doesn't take batteries.

Thanks!

Lowes/HD recycle CFLs, not sure about non-rechargeable batteries. I think you can safely throw those out.
