Yesterday afternoon after picking up my kids from school I was driving down Green Level West Road when I saw a big dump truck speeding towards us. The driver obviously was staring at his cellphone. I had to drive off the road to be narrowly missed by him. He kept going on to the opposite lane after crossing the double yellow lines. I was completely shaken as I had two young kids in the car. Also luckily no one was there behind us or else the outcome would have been really bad.
I wish I did but it was hard to turn around and he was long gone.
Yeah, once rattled, it is hard to think clearly and do what needs to be done. Happy to hear it was not worse.
My cousin was in a car once with 4 other teens and a belly dumpster ran right over the back of the car they were in. Three of the boys died at the scene, one was a quadriplegic for life, and my cousin was hurt badly but was able to make a full recovery. The drivers of some of these large and very dangerous vehicles really give little thought to others on the road. Not to mention some of the trucks look like they need serious repairs to be fully functioning.

It is difficult to report bad behavior of such drivers because dump trucks are permitted to mount a license plate on the front instead of the rear.
