Hi, my husband and I recently moved to Cary and I just found out Im pregnant. I am looking for recommendations for which hospitals are best, from what we have read it sounds like Duke may be best?

Ideally the hospital would have:
1. A couch or bed for my husband
2. Whirlpool tub
3. Nice facilities
4. Any other amenities / up to date rooms

Also, any recommendations on a good OB/Gyn would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

My wife and I are due in October and are going through Baby & Co. It's more of a midwife setup than hospital, but has all the amenities you listed and is partnered with Cary Wakemed across parking lot.

Hayley21, congrats!
Bryan63, that sounds interesting, going to have to look into that.

Clicked on this thread as looking for an Ob/Gyn for my daughter.
She doesnt have insurance at the moment, but please dont let that deter the recommendations for a Dr. Thanks in advance.

My wife loves Dr Tara Creighton at Mid-Carolina next to Rex. We've used her for 3 out of 4 kids.

Congratulations! I would check which hospitals are in-network for your insurance first. I recently moved to NC while pregnant and had to find an OB. I ended up at Duke and it was amazing! I was deemed high risk at 24 weeks and the attention my doctors gave me was outstanding! The delivery rooms at the hospital are very large and there is a birthing ball and jacuzzi tub in the room. The nurses are amazing!! After you deliver, you go to a smaller postpartum room. Some of the rooms have couches for hubs and some have recliners. Even if this is a downside for you, the care at Duke is so great that it's worth it! If you have any complications at all, I recommend Duke. I have also heard great things at Duke Regional so you might check into that as well.
