Trying to figure out a baseline cost for having our screen porch painted. Interior frame and exterior frame of screen porch and possibly the ceiling of the interior as well. It's approx. 12' X 18'. What are the going rates for this area?

There's really too many factors, and probably not many people get just their porch painted.

I'd get a few quotes and go from there.

Your builder doesn't paint their screened in porches? Or are you talking staining the floors, steps and support pillars?

Last year I spent approximately $800 to have the floor stained, exterior spindles painted, interior supports painted, and exterior steps/rail stained/painted. I didn't have the screens removed to have the interior side of the spindles painted as that side was in good shape and the painters were concerned about returning the screens without bending them.

I'm paying $1500 (I think, haven't looked at the exact estimate in a month or two) to have mine painted (also having it built at the same time). Includes ceiling and knee wall painted as well as all the standard parts. 16' x 14'

Our quote is 1200 for a 12 by 10 deck. Not screened in but I can't imagine it would be all that different unless you are asking for paint up the ceiling.

It's our current home and it needs reprinting. Maintenance.
