Son, 24, diagnosed with low testosterone, osteoporosis (!). Current Dr. (a Duke endo) very slow to respond, not interested in resolving Low T issue (and it's very low) so seeking great endocrinologist willing to look at whole picture, to be responsive to concerns. Willing to travel anywhere in triangle to sort all this out. Thanks!
I don't know about the low testosterone part, but for the osteoporosis make sure to have his Vitamin D levels checked if you haven't already. Low vitamin D is associated with osteoporosis and it's very common to be deficient even if you don't see symptoms as severe as osteoporosis. After a quick google it looks like low vitamin D levels are also associated with low testosterone.
Don't have an endocrinologist recommendation — wish I did. Good luck!
I see Dr. Stall at Raleigh Endocrinology (don't know about the low T), have been going there for years and am happy with him, he is a caring person (IMO). I've had issues with the administration in the past (just slow), but the last time was much better. Good luck, will hope for the best for you!
My daughter and I have been very happy with Dr. Sung-Eun Yoo at Cary Endocrine & Diabetes Center. We don't see her for low T, but she's been the best endocrinologist we've found in the area.
Has your son been checked for Celiac Disease? It's often a partner in low vitamin absorption and hormonal problems.
I second Raleigh Endocrinology. I have recently started seeing Dr. Berlin, and have been very pleased. I have heard great things about Dr. Stall, as well. Prior to that, I had been with Carolina Endocrine. I liked the doctor there but found the staff to be completely inefficient and non-responsive.

I do too.
Don't accept a Low T diagnosis unless they also check your son's prolactin levels.
It is not terribly commonly found but...
If they start jacking him up with testosterone, and he has high prolactin, it can be dangerous.
Excellent point.
