Personal responsibility or nanny state? Which side are you on?

Besides, the example that was given was a business deciding its own policy. They are certainly free to not sell alcohol at all. Perhaps that would be a good move for Chuck E Cheese to avoid lots of situations where adults are acting a fool and brawls start and get out of hand (just look at a lot of example on Youtube of this).

I realize that people may choose to be stupid and get sloppy drunk at home around their kids and that is unfortunate, but the bottom line is a restaurant has the ability and responsibility to set the tone for whether there's going to have a civil, appropriate atmosphere on its premises or not.

There are still plenty of sketchy bars for people to hang out in if they think a restaurant is being too uptight with this kind of policy.
It is already illegal for anyone to knowingly sell or give alcohol to an intoxicated person.
Not sure what would be gained by a law that singles out parents with kids.

It wasn't a law. It was a restaurant policy.

The one at North Hills in Raleigh was busy Sunday AM a few weeks ago.
Our waiter said they are loving that the brunch crowd was spread out all morning.

I recently realized this location is in the hotel we'll be staying at when we arrive next week. I take it it's pretty good food? Menu looks great.
