are there any current residents from CC here? Those type of things can be biased.

We're looking for a short term rental in CV, 6 mos lease with option to continue for 1 or 2 months afterward (while we have some remodeling done on our home). Do you know of any 2 BR rental units there?

I would look in Cary, NC. I'm actually from VA beach myself. Cary school are very good too. It's a little pricey depending on where you look though. Morrisville is very nice as well. It's known to be abit safer than cameron village (apex, cary, morrisville). It doensn't border a college...which is nice. I live area near cameron v. currently, and I would like to move after I graduate.

Yesterday I was outside the Harris Teeter at Cameron Village loading up my backpack with groceries and all of a sudden I see this man standing close by yelling and stomping his feet. I was quick to put things away and get out of there in a hurry. Why? Well, it looked like this fella was trying to steal a bike and was trying to make it look like it was his and couldn't get it unlocked. Because I walk everywhere, I don't stick around places when I see 'crazy' people milling about. My hubby and I get accosted from time to time so we tend to walk very quickly everywhere we go. Let's just say that I was very surprised to find this kind of activity there having never seen it before. I find that area to be relaxed usually. Well, now I have another reason to not linger in another part of Raleigh.

Maybe the "fella" was actually as he seemed - upset with himself at not being able to get his bike unlocked which not only is a real drag, but might have made him late for work or???
Why did you rush away, what were you afraid of? Honestly to use this as a basis for not lingering in that area is really rather absurd!
What other area of Raleigh are you also afraid of? And where were you accosted? I've walked all over this place over the years. I used to work downtown and walk around Fayetteville St to Moore Sq every week. Lots of people do this without problem. Raleigh is a pretty safe place to be.

I enjoyed living in Cameron Village, but didn't like living at Oberlin Court. I nicknamed it "Douchebagistan." Unless you're a trendy 20-something who drinks a lot and loves yelling "whooo hoooo!" at all hours, that complex is probably not for you.
