Moving into a house in a part of Cary that uses reclaimed water for irrigation. We have kids that will be playing on the the lawn and are wondering how dangerous this reclaimed water really is. Anyone have any experience with it? I've read Cary's FAQ page on it, but want some "unofficial" opinions on it too. Is it just something I shouldn't let the kids guzzle from the hose, or more like something they shouldn't even get on their skin?
I think the town would have a little bit of a problem if you couldn't get it on your skin.
Don't let the kids guzzle it, and stop worrying about it. Oh and I'm jealous, you're one of the lucky ones.
Also, the spickots your hose attaches to may use normal water, with the reclaimed water only used for irrigation system. Also, you get to run your sprinkler every day, a key to keeping fescue alive this week of extremely hot days.
Wasn't being literal though. Was simply going from one extreme, drinking the water, to the other extreme, skin contact. Imagine it falls somewhere in between and am just trying to determine where. Appreciate the input and humor! 👍

Yeah I don't think there's any reason to believe that the town's FAQ is inaccurate.
