Hi all, anyone have a good recommendation for an attorney to pursue specific performance on a house? We have a standard contract in place and have been ready to perform but looks like the seller is going to refuse to close because he has a backup buyer offering a higher purchase price. At the very least we need to file a lis pendens and prevent sale to a third party out from under us.

your closing attorney should either be able to help, or refer you to someone.

He already has, but the referee in this case is a general litigator who doesn't specialize in real estate or contract matters.

if your closing attorney was unable to help, then I would suggest:

Bob Ramseur, Ragsdale Liggett
Chris Willard, Willard & Willard
