Do we want that here? Yupsters are encroaching on many good lower income residents in this area too.

IMHO a good plumber or first responder worth much more than most of the overpaid hipsters.
Thats certainly true.... zebulon is an impoverished town with high crime for its population and ****ty schools (East wake high is probs worst in wake county).. yet when the developers come knocking there goes the crime and all the original residents.... bye bye good ol zeblyn and lizard lick and hello generic suburbia and pissed of millenials whining about how backward the locals are... and how ****ty traffic is... and how much they want bike lanes.... cary for instance used to be a poor farming town.

Now that my little rant is over... all jokes with underlying tones of truth... lets talk in all seriousness... look at google maps right now... tell me wtf is going on... 40 backed up almost to harnett co.... suburbia keeps on reachin...

What is the solution??? We need to restrict growth, extreme measure indeed but how do we do it without housing prices soaring? There has to be a happy medium.

Rent control might help somewhat.

Another question, percentage of transplants who end up spending their lives here? I get the feeling not much, Raleigh is just a revolving door of in and out. However the in outpaces the out by a lot. Wonder what the stats will say.

That sucks, so we either eat up every bit of land or not grow at all... there has got to be a good medium.

Either school buses should stay off the highway or they should drive the speed limit. I just don't understand them being out there, especially during rush hour.

By law, they're limited to 45 MPH (55 MPH for activity buses) when occupied. Agree it's a hazard on the freeways, but that's partly why they're big and yellow and have flashing lights on top.
