I wonder if you venture out to Smithfield or Greensboro or Zebulon if the hardware stores/walmarts have them there? Worth to call and ask and trek out perhaps if you're interested in getting them.
Talk about random, the Hallmark card and gift store in Brier Creek had some, but that was Saturday before last. There were in a very inconspicuous spot, so you might get lucky, but I'd call first!
I know you said local, but check b&h video online. I ordered some last week and they arrived within 2 days, I think. Decent quality for an inexpensive pack of 5.

I don't understand the thrill of looking at the sun during this eclipse. I don't understand paying money for one-time- use paper glasses that may or may not be legit. I will just watch it on the news. And look out the window at the darkness in the afternoon.

I'm not even sure it will be that dark out in the triangle area.

probably not - the guy at Morehead when I went said that it would probably just feel a little overcast because the part of the sun that isn't blocked out is still so bright. That being said it will be cool to see 90% of the sun missing
Has anyone seen any glasses for sale recently, and if so, where?
Just sent you a DM.
