Hi all,
I'm in Raleigh this weekend, and the weather hasn't been nearly as bad as I had expected for August... I thought it would be much hotter and more humid (I've never been to North Carolina before, so I admit, I really wasn't sure what to expect.)
Is this typical for July and August in Raleigh? Or did I just happen to be here on a good weekend?

Thanks!

We're getting a nice breather. It could easily be much warmer.

The last week has been absolutely amazing. In fact this entire season has been much cooler than usual.

Abnormally comfortable outside for this time of year. No complaints here!

I agree with the exception of a few rough weeks in mid/late July...this has been one of the nicest summers I can remember.

Our family reunion has been the second Saturday in August for almost 60 years. I remember a good number of them having really pleasant weather like this. This is business as usual in North Carolina

Today's forecast is 82 dF at 56 %RH, per NOAH website.

Historical High = 85, Record High = 101 (1943)
Historical Low = 65, Record Low =72 (1942)

We are a bit cooler than what could be expected.
