There is supply available. Instead of increasing the price, utilize the supply that is readily available to the marketplace.
Pipelines occupy fixed locations. They can't be served by refineries located in other places. Plus, there is very little, if any, slack in the gasoline supply. Its been decades since a new refinery was built in this country.
Colonial has indicated they will resume shipping on Sunday.

I believe BC1960 is correct.
There is plenty of supply of oil inventory available to be refined, but I believe that gasoline supply near point of sale is maintained very much as "Just in time" inventory.
I just went to get gas at lunch because I needed it and the gas station I went to increased its price by $0.20 from 2 hours based on the GasBuddy app (now at $2.45/gallon)
Latest news says all should be back to normal by Sunday (3 days hence), after all of the safety measures are tested at the point of origin. So, the price should not go up too much for too long. Of course, there will be more useage this weekend because of the Labor Day holiday. I notice that most stations are charging the same amounts, probably because any station with a cheaper price because of left over fuel would be targeted by too many vehicles trying to save a couple pennies. (Yes, I've been guilty of that myself.)
