These are out of state companies that remote-hire local photographers to take real estate photos that the companies resell to their clients. I have been picking up occasional work from Velocity REOS since April but the job offerings are sparse (only seven assignments in six months, but they do pay on time and as advertised).

I've just seen an ad from a flashy company called ListerPros. They claim to offer regular work, and at 3-4 times higher pay. I was hoping to reach anyone who has experience with either company.

never heard of either of them, and you'd think I would have.

Velocity REOS says that their clients are financial institutions (banks, insurance companies, government agencies) that need images of properties in regards to loans/financing, insurance or occupancy checks.

ListerPros seems like they are marketing directly to high-value property owners for promotion of their inventory.

ooohhhh, I didn't see the word play on REO's - ie, foreclosures and distressed sales. We don't have but so many of those in the Triangle.

If "high-value" = commercial real estate - then I wouldn't have enough knowledge of that. Maybe they have gotten in touch with the right players and have a good base of business. On the residential end, where I work, I've never heard of them, and we have plenty of quality photographers for our high-end business.
